As a long-standing cultural brand of the college, the Chinese Corner series of activities consistently uses traditional Chinese culture as a medium, aiming to allow more Chinese and international students to appreciate the essence of Chinese culture through hands-on practice.

Lacquer Fan Making Experience Activity

The lacquer fan making experience activity combines "explanation + hands-on experience," allowing students to feel the craftsmanship and charm of traditional lacquer fan artistry through personal creation.

This event used the fan as a medium, enabling students to immersively experience the unique charm of lacquer art through practical work. The activity not only built a bridge for cross-cultural communication among the students but also further deepened their understanding and love for traditional Chinese culture.

Summer Social Practice Sharing Salon

To help new international students quickly understand the college's practical resources and improve their Chinese language application skills through authentic cultural contexts, the college organized new international students to review the wonderful journey of the college's practice teams during the summer social practice.

The College of International Chinese Education / Overseas Education College has always been committed to enabling international students, through practical activities, to "observe the real China with their eyes and understand the cultural essence with their hearts," ultimately growing into cross-cultural ambassadors who connect China and the world and promote mutual learning among civilizations. This Chinese Corner activity helped new students intuitively grasp the learning path of "learning Chinese through practice, understanding China through exploration," assisting them in quickly adapting to the campus culture and Chinese social environment.

Traditional Festival Experience Activities

During traditional Chinese festivals, the college organizes "Our Festivals" activities, inviting international students to participate in and experience traditional Chinese festival culture.

In February, during the Spring Festival, teachers and students jointly put up window grilles, add zodiac ornaments, and decorate the activity venue together. Afterwards, the students sipped tea while listening to teachers explain Spring Festival knowledge, experiencing Chinese customs such as calligraphy and rubbing.

In May, during the Dragon Boat Festival, the college held cultural experience activities. Students learned about Dragon Boat Festival customs, made and tasted Zongzi themselves, and also received colorful silk cords and sachets, immersively experiencing the charm of Dragon Boat Festival culture.

In September, during the Mid-Autumn Festival, the college organized cultural experience activities. Students enjoyed Chinese and international artistic performances together, experienced the intangible cultural heritage of Bo Bing, and immersively experienced the Chinese culture of reunion and the distinctive folk customs of Southern Fujian.
