Bullet trains running from Xiamen to Shanghai & Hangzhou to offer sleeper seats

Starting on January 1, 2015, 3 bullet trains with sleeper seats (trains No. D908, D937 and D936) will be put into operation between Xiamen and Shanghai as well as between Xiamen and Hangzhou.

According to reports, the sleeper trains consist of rooms that can be shared by 4 passengers and they are all equipped with LCD TVs. Free dinners are also available on the trains.

According to reports, train No. D908 will depart from Shenzhen North Railway Station at 20:01, makes a stop in Xiamen North at 23:18 and Hangzhou East at 05:59 on the second day, and arrive at Shanghai Hongqiao at 07:20. While trains No. D937/6 will set off from Guangzhou South Railway Station at 19:30, stop in Xiamen at 23:26 and Hangzhou East at 06:18 on the second day, and reach Shanghai Hongqiao at 07:32.

The operation period of the bullet trains will be between 1st January and 15th March, 2015. The bullet trains with sleeper seats will be halted on Wednesdays.

In addition, 4 pairs of bullet trains with sleeper seats (trains No. D2341/2, D2345/6, D2343/4 and D2347/8) will also be added to the Xiamen-Shenzhen high-speed railway. The trains will be put into operation in the morning.
