From December 1, 2014, passengers can book train tickets through the Internet and by telephone 60 days ahead of time. While before the adjustment, people could book tickets only 20 days in advance. Meanwhile, a new policy on procedures of refunding and changing train tickets will be implemented starting from December 3, with the detailed rules as follows:
1. Passengers who cancel and refund tickets 15 days before the scheduled departure times will be exempted from service fares.
2. Passengers can change their tickets to any available tickets that is within the pre-sale period, and the tickets can be changed for two times 48 hours before the scheduled departure times.
3. As to the passengers who want to change their tickets within 48 hours before the scheduled departure times, they can change to trains that with a departure time belt from the ticket-changing time to 24:00pm of the same day.
4. Passengers can also have their tickets changed after the scheduled departure times, but they can only change to the trains with same destinations as their original tickets and depart before 24:00 on the same day.
Besides, the South Square and South Station Building of the Xiamen Railway Station are expected to be put into operation and receive 20-30 pairs of trains by the end of January, 2015. And the North Square and North Station Building of the Xiamen Railway Station are expected to be put into operation by the end of next year.
