Xiamen E-tong Card
According to the 10th Cross-strait Informatization Forum that was held in Xiamen on November 20th, scholars and specialists from across the Straits had discussed cross-strait cooperation on informatization and industrialization.
Xiamen Information Group showcased its Xiamen E-tong Card system and agricultural products logistics distribution platform during the Minnan-Taiwan Informatization and Industrialization Cooperation Project Matchmaking Fair, which attracted large number of visitors.
According to the report, Xiamen’s E-tong Card system is expected to cooperate with Taiwan’s Easy Card system, which will allow cardholders of any of the aforementioned cards to achieve convenient payment for public transportation, small purchases and tourism in both Xiamen and Taiwan.
Fujian has given support to about 100 projects related to cross-strait cooperation on informatization and industrialization and about 100 industrial parks are planned to be built over the next five years, according to the Fujian Provincial Economic and Information Technology Commission.
A signing ceremony for cross-strait cooperation projects, including tea machinery, 3D printing technology, laser equipments and health information industry platforms, which are worth 885 million yuan, was held during the forum.
