On the evening of February 14th, the Confucius Institute at the University of Malta successfully held the Spring Festival Gala for the Year of the Horse at the hall of the University of Malta's Valletta Campus. The gala featured a variety of performances, including Sichuan Opera's Face-Changing, traditional dance, instrumental music, and poetry recitations. Interactive games such as "Guess Chinese Province and City Names," "Pass the Flower," and "Lucky Zodiac Star" were also specially organized.
The event was attended by nearly 200 guests, including Chinese Ambassador to Malta Zhang Zuo, University of Malta Rector Professor Alfred Vella, Pro-Rector Professor Frank Bezzina, Dr. Alice Micallef, Director of the Directorate for Learning and Assessment Programmes in Languages and Humanities at the Maltese Ministry of Education, Dr. Chen Xiao, Director of the Malta Chinese Cultural Center, Associate Professor Nie Aixia, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute, Professor Dennis Mizzi, Foreign Director of the Confucius Institute, as well as principals, teachers, students, and parent representatives from the institute's affiliated primary and secondary school teaching sites, and local Chinese community members.
