January 13th, the Confucius Institute at the University of the Philippines successfully resumed its Chinese language course at the UP Integrated School (UPIS). The course has been met with enthusiasm, evidenced by high enrolment figures. Classroom teaching incorporated interactive activities and introduced elements of traditional Chinese culture ahead of the Laba Festival.

The resumption of the course marks the Confucius Institute’s further expansion of Chinese language education into the primary and secondary sectors.
