On the morning of January 13, the 2026 Board Meeting of the Chinese Language and Culture Research Center at DSU, a collaborative initiative between Xiamen University and Delaware State University of the United States, was held at Siming Campus.

Kareem McLemore, Vice President of Delaware State University and Chairman of the Center's Board, and Shi Dalin, Vice President of Xiamen University, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Liu Fengshan, Assistant Vice President for International Affairs of Delaware State University; Gwendolyn Scott-Jones, Dean of the Graduate School of Delaware State University; Chen Zhiwei, Dean of the College of International Chinese Language Education/College of Overseas Education of XMU; Huang Chen, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange; as well as relevant staff from both parties, participated in the meeting in person.

Kimeu W. Boynton, American Director of the Center; Zhang Yi, American Executive Director; and Fang Huanhai, Chinese Director, joined the meeting virtually. The meeting was hosted by Chen Zhiwei.
