The “2005 Xiamen-European Culture Week and Christmas Eve Celebration” in honour of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of EU-China diplomatic relations was held in the Jinyan Hotel on December 24th. It was sponsored by the EU mission to China and the College of Foreign Languages and Cultures. The College has started courses on Cross-cultural issues and dialogue between the EU and China”

The evening was one of the events sponsored by the course group to promote dialogue and cultural exchanges between the EU and China, to deepen mutual understanding of the history and cultures of the two regions, and to enhance cultural recognition and interaction.
