According to a press conference held on October 31, the Administration of Ocean and Fisheries of Xiamen will invite a 30-member group to experience an “island chain tour” during World Ocean Week this year.
Set to be held on November 9, the “island chain tour” will organize 30 tourists to enjoy the beautiful views of 3 uninhabited islands in Xiamen. According to Lv, the official in charge of the “island chain tour”, the 3 uninhabited islands selected have all been equipped with complete infrastructure and rare animal protection bases so tourists can enjoy a safe and convenient journey during the “island chain tour”.
The 2014 World Ocean Week in Xiamen will be held from November 7 to November 13 with Yuehua Hotel as the main venue. Themed on "Development of Blue Economy-Opportunities, Cooperation and Win-Win Situations”, the WOW 2014 includes three main activities consisting of more than 20 events, including the 7th China (Xiamen) International Leisure Fishing Expo, the Beach Culture & Sports Festival, the Marine Science Open Day, the Experience Tour of Islands, and the International Yacht Exhibition.
Besides, a series of activities themed as “blue costal defense” will be held during the WOW 2014.
