It is better to go into Xiamen University from E'she gate near South Putuo Temple for the first time, and then walk through Xianianye Campus from west to east. You can catch sight of Jiagen main buildings from the entrance, which are one of the landmarks of Xiamen University. It is said that the 21-storey building in the middle represents the 21st century.
Food: The Yajian food stall near the campus can't be missed. Sea sedge horn, one of its signature dishes here, enjoys "sweet and juicy" features at the first bite and the flavor of sea sedge still remains in your mouth. In addition, satay noodle with black sugar is a well-known snack in Xiamen.
Traffic: you can take bus No1, 15, 18, 20, 29 and 45 and get off at Xiamen University Stop.
