The 2015 C&D Xiamen International Marathon will kick off on 3rd January, 2015
As the date for the 2015 C&D Xiamen International Marathon, 3rd January 2015, approaches, the Xiamen Public Security and Traffic Management Bureau published a series of traffic control measures to be adopted on that day to ensure a smooth race.
The route of the 2015 Xiamen International Marathon will be:
Xiamen WuTong Lighthouse Park → Huandao Dong Road → North Huizhan Road → Huizhan Road → South Huizhan Road→South Huandao Road → South Yunding Road → South Huandao Road → Baicheng Bridge near Xiamen University (turnaround point) → South Huandao Road → South Huizhan Road → Huizhan Road → North Huizhan Road → East Huandao Road → main entrance of the Xiangshan International Yacht Club → East Huandao Road → Xiamen WuTong Lighthouse Park (Finish).
The traffic control measures are as follows:
1. The road section between East Huandao Road and Xianyue Road will be closed to all vehicles from 6:00pm on 2nd January to 6:00am on the 3rd, except for those with 2015 Xiamen International Marathon passes.
2. The north section of South Yunding Road will be closed to all vehicles from 6:30am on 3rd January; the south section of the road, the south section of Yunding tunnel, the finishing point of the half marathon and the turning point of the full marathon will be closed to all vehicles from 7:00am on the same day, except for those with 2015 Xiamen International Marathon passes.
3. From 5:00am on 3rd January, the Wutong Wharf area will be closed; from 6:00am, the section between the Wuyuanwan Bridge and the starting point of the race, the enclosed area of Sishui Road, Wuyuanwan Road and Maluqi Road and the eastern section of the Xiang'an Tunnel will be closed; from 7:00am, West Zengcuoan Road, North Zengcuoan Road and the south section of Huandao Road will be closed to all vehicles, except for those with 2015 Xiamen International Marathon passes.
4. Traffic restrictions will also be enforced from south to north on Sishui Road (泗水道) from 6:00am to 4:00pm on 3rd January.
