为推动中美高校教师汉语文化及其教学的理论与实践研究,促进国际中文教育学科建设和人才培养,促进相关领域的教师、学者、专家之间的学术交流与合作,由中国厦门大学主办的“中美高校教师汉语文化研究与教学论坛暨厦门大学-普渡大学第二届国际汉语教学研究论坛”拟于2022年12月10-11日在厦门大学举行。论坛由厦门大学国际中文教育学院/海外教育学院、普渡大学语言与文化学院承办,汉考国际、中文联盟协办,将采用线下和线上相结合的形式。现公开征集论文摘要,热忱欢迎中美专家学者和高校汉语教师投稿,共同探讨中美汉语教学的特点、机遇、挑战和趋势,推动中美汉语教学的进一步发展。

二、论坛议题
论坛的主要议题包括但不限于以下内容:
(一)汉语/文化远程或混合课程、翻转课堂的开发与研究

(三)语用学在汉语教学中的运用
(四)国际中文教育中文水平等级标准和汉语水平考试
(五)计算机/互联网辅助汉语/文化教学与学习

(八)国际中文教育中的文化传播与跨文化交流
三、论坛主要内容简介
本届论坛由来自中美两国高校代表的6个主旨报告、12个分论坛特邀报告、5个工作坊和1个圆桌专题讨论组成,形式丰富、内容充实,截止目前已收到参会摘要近150篇左右。除了中美两国的汉语教学科研人员,也收到了来自英国、澳大利亚、新加坡、泰国、越南等国家的摘要或参会申请。目前会务筹备已渐入尾声,欢迎广大业界同仁积极参与,期待在盛会与您相逢于厦门大学!
四、参会对象
中美中文教育领域专家学者、汉语教师、学生,会议正式代表均需提交论文摘要。
五、摘要提交及论文发表
(一)摘要提交要求
本论坛欢迎与论坛主题密切相关的以下两种摘要:实证性研究及结果的报告或研究合作提案。
1. 论坛欢迎中文或英文摘要投稿,请提交一页篇幅摘要,包含研究概述、实施情况及结果,并请以“研究报告摘要”为标题,建议篇幅为300-600字之间。请写明作者姓名、单位、电子邮箱、联系电话等信息,以备编辑论坛手册。
2. 研究合作计划请提交一页篇幅摘要,包含研究概述、实施方案、预期成果及合作性质,并请以“研究计划摘要”为标题,无字数限制。
(二)论文发表
本届论坛将以电子版形式汇总研究报告摘要,同时,学术期刊《海外华文教育》将在达到同等水平且经作者同意的前提下,以正常刊号择优专辑刊发本届论坛研究报告论文的全文。

China-U.S. Forum on the Research and Teaching of Chinese Language and Culture at the College Level (The 2nd Xiamen University-Purdue University International Forum on Teaching Chinese as a Second Language)
Announcement
The China-U.S. Forum on the Research and Teaching of Chinese Language and Culture at the College Level (The 2nd Xiamen University-Purdue University International Forum on Teaching Chinese as a Second Language), hosted by Xiamen University, will be held on December 10th-11th, 2022 at Xiamen University. The Forum aims to promote research on the theory and share best practices of teaching Chinese language and culture among the U.S. and Chinese faculty teaching at the college level, facilitate disciplinary development and skills training for international Chinese education, and strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation among the U.S. and Chinese university teachers, scholars, and experts. The Forum is jointly organized by the Chinese International Education College (Overseas Education College) at Xiamen University and the School of Languages and Cultures at Purdue University, and co-organized by Chinese Testing International Co., Ltd., and Chinese Plus with a combination of both online and offline platforms. We are now calling for abstracts of papers and looking forward to contributions from scholars as well as teaching professionals as we explore opportunities, challenges, and trends of Chinese language teaching in China and the U.S., thereby advancing our profession.

The main topics of the Forum include but are not limited to the following:
(I) Development and research of distance or hybrid courses and flipped classroom
(II) Design and research of Chinese language/culture study abroad programs
(III) Pragmatics in teaching Chinese as a Second Language (CSL)
(IV) Chinese Proficiency Assessment Standards for International Chinese Language Education and HSK Test
(V) Computer-assisted/distance Chinese language/culture teaching and learning
(VI)Teacher training and professional development for MA students concentrating on teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages
(VII) Chinese philology and CSL
(VIII) Cultural and cross-cultural communication in CSL
III. Highlight of the Forum
The Forum consists of 6 keynote speeches, 12 invited talks, 5 workshops, and 1 round table discussion. To date, more than 150 abstracts has been received from China and U.S., as well as other countries such as U.K., Australia, Singapore, Thailand, etc.
We sincerely encourage your participation, with or without abstracts, and look forward to seeing you during this incoming event at Xiamen University!
IV. Participants
Experts and scholars in the field of Chinese language education, Chinese language teaching professionals, and graduate students are welcome to participate in the Forum. Abstracts are encouraged, but not required for those who only choose to participate without a presentation.
V. Abstract Submission and Paper Publication
(I) Requirements for the submission of abstracts
The Forum welcomes the following two types of abstracts that are closely related to the theme: reports of empirical studies and results or proposals for research collaboration.
1. Abstracts may be submitted in either Chinese or English. Please submit a one page abstract with 300-600 words under the title of “Abstract of Research Report” which includes a research overview, implementation schedule, and results. Please provide the author’s information, including name, affiliation, email address, and phone number, which will be collected for compiling the directory of attendees.
2. For research collaboration proposals, please submit a one page abstract (i.e., research overview, an implementation plan, expected results, and the nature of the collaboration, no word limit) under the title of “Abstract of Research Proposal”.
Please provide the author’s information, including name, affiliation, email address, and phone number, which will be collected for compiling the directory of attendees.
(II) Publication of papers
Abstracts of research reports will be compiled in an electronic form. The full texts of the research reports in the Forum that satisfy the publishing criteria will be published, with the consent of the authors, in a special issue of the academic journal Overseas Chinese Education.
