3月4号――3月16号，日本拓殖大学的7名学生在我院进行了为期2周的汉语学习和语言实践。这是拓殖大学第二次派学生到我校进行交流学习。同学们在两个星期的学习中，从原来的不会说、不敢说，到现在比较流利顺畅的表达，汉语有了很大的提高，对中国的社会文化也有了一定的了解和理解。到了双休日，学校还组织留学生们外出旅游，或风景名胜，或历史名城，使中国文化更为生动、鲜活地呈现在学生们面前。无论是课堂、参观还是旅游，都让留学生们领略了博大精深的中国文化和多姿多彩的中华风貌。

学生们回日本之后都深感此次中国之行收获很大，纷纷表示希望以后还能有机会参加这样的项目。下面的信是拓殖大学国际学部的学部长岸泽辉明教授在学生回国之后给我院王虹教授的来信，王虹教授负责该短期班的汉语教学以及日常安排与交流，并给学生们开了一场别开生面、内容丰富的中国社会讲座。

Dear Mr.Wang,

I hope this letter finds you and your colleagues in perfect condition. Both our accompanying officer and the 7 students have returned back Tokyo sound and safe after they’ve successfully completed their 2 weeks study at Xiamen University.

They all seemed very satisfied after their short period of stay with you, in which you seemed to have provided them a well performed program. I appreciate for all the heartfelt hospitalities to our students. I do hope that our program will continually expand to the future, and at the same time, I am hoping for a fruitful cooperation between both our universities.
