Conference Theme

The theme of the conference will be focused on the research of the culture of Chinese characters and language, as well as other issues related to the teaching and studying of Chinese characters and language.

加强和促进汉字汉语文化研究和教学的国际交流，

加深各国学者之间在学术研究的课题、方法和主张上的相互了解，

促进汉字汉语文化研究的深入和推广，提高汉字汉语教学的水平

The purpose of the symposium

Strengthen the international exchanges among scholars who study Chinese characters and language, deepen the international education and research of culture of Chinese characters and language, and promote the advancement of local Chinese research and teaching standards.

*应一些研究生及青年学者要求，大会决定增设会前研讨。研究生及青年学者可提交参会论文申请。所提交论文经五名匿名专家审阅通过后，可以在新增“大会前研讨”时段进行宣讲与研讨（每人10-15分钟）。申请者请于5月15日以前，向会议主办方提交1000-1500字的论文提要。

*Upon the request of graduate students and young scholars, we will add a Pre-Symposium Workshop. We will be accepting proposed papers from graduate students and young scholars. After the papers are reviewed by five anonymous experts, there will be an opportunity to present the paper at a Pre-Symposium Workshop. Each person will have 10-15 minutes to present. To apply, please provide a 1000 - 1500 character abstract of your paper before May 15.
