本课程适合学过《发展汉语·初级综合》（Ⅱ）或与此程度相当的课本，已掌握基础汉语语法，学过2000-2500个常用词，具备基础汉语交际能力，能用汉语就与个人有关或常见的熟悉话题与他人进行沟通和交流的学习者。 课程内容共17讲，包括12课的系统讲授，3次阶段复习和2次考试。12课的系统讲授是重点，每课均包含生词、课文、语言点的学习和综合练习讲解，并介绍相关的文化知识，培养学习者对中国社会和文化的了解，培养其跨文化交际意识。4次阶段复习针对已学过的重点内容进行复习和查漏补缺，纠正学习者作业和练习中的偏误，巩固所学知识。

Course Description (English)

This is an Chinese compulsory course for the students, who have studied "Chinese: Elementary Comprehensive Course" (Ⅱ) or a textbook equivalent to this level, have mastered basic Chinese grammar, have learned 2000-2500 common words, and have basic Chinese communication skills to communicate with others on familiar topics.

The course content consists of 17 lectures, including 12 lessons, 3 stage reviews and 2 exams. Each lesson includes the study of new words, texts, grammars, comprehensive exercises, and introduces relevant cultural knowledge.

This required course for Chinese language majors covers life experiences, popular science, intercultural communication, and internet topics. It presents about 400 vocabulary items and core grammar/sentence patterns within diverse social contexts. Listening materials progress from sentences to passages (400–800 words), at HSK level 4 - level 5 difficulty.

This course is designed for learners who have mastered elementary‑to‑intermediate Chinese grammar, acquired 3,500‑4,000 commonly‑used Chinese words, are able to understand general language materials related to social life, communicate with others on everyday topics in Chinese, and produce general narrative, expository and argumentative texts. Aimed at comprehensively improving the integrated Chinese communicative competence of advanced‑level learners in listening, speaking, reading and writing, the course places particular emphasis on strengthening learners’ abilities of reading and comprehending texts, as well as making sentences and writing in Chinese.
